Where are they now? Sarah Burgess

Sarah Burgess sings for the judges during the “American Idol” Season 6 auditions. Burgess has signed a record deal and already has started work on her debut CD.

If you remember the highlights of the early auditions, you remember Sarah Burgess. Her story was intriguing. He look was nearly flawless. Her voice? Not quite good enough.

Well, that was not the opinion of everyone. Burgess, just a few days after her “Idol” contract ended, signed a contract with PME Records. The singer already has opened for Chris Daughtry — on Aug. 29 — at the Colorado State Fair.

Burgess’ first single, “Didn’t that Matter,” is expected to be released Sept. 20. Burgess’ solo CD, “One,” is set for a Nov. 30 release. It will be interesting to see if “Idol” passed on a good one this time.
