Their first single

Tonight’s finale-week opener should introduce America to the first single to be released by this year’s winner — whether it be Jordin or Blake.

The finalists will sing their interpretation of the winning song from the “American Idol” songwriter’s competition. The field has been narrowed to 20 finalists, and the winning tune will be introduced this week. Click here to listen to the top 20 songs and read about the songwriting finalists.

It’s only a matter of hours before Blake faces off against Jordin for the sixth “Idol” title. Check back here for live updates during the show, and feel free to comment throughout the night or after the show has ended.
