Simon Cowell responded to CNN about claims Paula Abdul has made about her stalker, Paula Goodspeed, who took her own life in front of Abdul’s home.

    it is clearly just a misundersanding between paula and the producers. a big misunderstanding. but i really hope it will die soon. keeping the controversy in the spotlight isnt gonna help Anyone. not paula, not idol, not the girl’s family. they need to move on now.

    My advice to Paula is just: move on from this controversy, come back strong next season and if he whispers things in her ear… just ignore him! or change seats with Kara! i dont want her going around feeling bitter or angry. she can easily turn this around. i believe in her.
