Simon said it

Simon Cowell on March 1 at the 24th Annual William S. Paley Television Festival — An Evening with “American Idol.”
He’s the judge you love to hate or hate to love. But, the truth is, Simon Cowell is a key reason to the success of “Idol.”
As I was watching “American Idol Rewind” this week, I realized those quirky, often confusing, lines Simon throws at the judges are nothing new. He always is comparing the contestants to the most bizarre things or making analogies that are hard to follow.
But that’s the beauty of Simon. He’s a little off, but almost always right.
My favorite Simon line this year is when he told top 12 semifinalist Amy Krebs, “When you sing, you have the personality of a candle.” Um, what?
What are your favorite Simon lines or moments from this season or the five that came before it?

I liked it when he told the chick that was on Dr. PHil yesterday that he hoped her Paula jewelery was refundable because she was not any good…yikes, how harsh can you be? But it was funny!
