Season 2 “Idol” winner Ruben Studdard performs July 5 at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.

This week marked the return of Essence Music Festival to New Orleans. Among a lineup of all-star appearances was Season 2 “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard, who performed Thursday in the Coca-Cola lounge.

The mega music festival also featured artists such as Beyonce, Chris Brown and Robin Thicke. Find out more about the festival at the official site.
