Paula Abdul performing at the Super Bowl?
She’s been known to yell “Touchdown!” when she favors a performance on American Idol. But could it be true Idol judge Paula Abdul may be adding a little entertainment to the Super Bowl halftime show?
Just days before the start of Idol’s seventh season, rumors are swirling about Abdul making an appearance as part of the Super Bowl telecast Feb. 3 on Fox. The network seems to be pretty quiet about the rumor, though it has been announced Tom Petty will be headlining the performance.
The Laker girl-turned-pop star hasn’t been seen on the stage in quite some time, though she apparently also is working on a duet with fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson for an upcoming project. That duet is scheduled to be the first released from Jackson’s Music Club Vol. 1.
Personally, I think it’s been far too long — there just aren’t enough animated cats on TV — since we’ve seen Abdul sing and dance. Her Idol antics just aren’t enough.
