More fumbling from ‘Hey, Paula’

Paula Abdul is surrounded by Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell earlier this year when she was honored as Woman of the Year by the Nevada Ballet Theatre.
She stumbled through another week of intense media interviews, spending a lot of time trying to clear her name from the confused interviews she went through to promote “American Idol” earlier this year. And she cried a little bit more. OK, a lot more.
“Hey, Paula” is reality brilliance, really. This week we saw Paula being presented with the Woman of the Year award from the Nevada Ballet Theatre. This time she was joined on stage by fellow “Idol” judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, as well as host Ryan Seacrest. The three men helped present the award to Paula, who also was surrounded by several “Idol” contestants (which they didn’t show on the episode). Folks like Chris Daughtry, Paris Bennett and Melissa McGhee were on hand to offer their congrats, too.
At this rate, there seriously could not be a better way to celebrate “Idol” in the off-season. It’s no wonder Bravo decided to make Paula the subject of her own series. Simply amazing if you ask me.
