Kelly going to Canada, eh?

Kelly Clarkson will be a guest mentor next week on “Canadian Idol.”

“American Idol” may be in the off season, but our neighbors to the north are in the midst of choosing their next “Idol.” And they’re calling on the original American winner to mentor those left fighting for the title.

Kelly Clarkson will be the celebrity guest mentor next week on “Canadian Idol,” which is down to its top five finalists this season. Clarkson will visit the show for its Aug. 20 episode. Find out more about that show at the show’s official site.
