Katharine McPhee has the ‘Stuff’

For the August issue of Stuff magazine — a publication known for its racy photo shoots — Katharine McPhee talks about the buzz behind her sexy album cover.
“People made a big deal out of (my album cover being racy),” the Season 5 “American Idol” runner-up told Stuff. “They said, ‘She’s a slut, blah blah blah.’ But I’m really not showing that much skin. It’s all suggested.”
Expect to see McPhee in nothing but a bra and pantyhose on the issue’s cover, a look she said is not representative of a new image — it’s just a side of herself she didn’t show on the FOX reality series.
“On American Idol, people saw the side that is very professional and put together,” she told Stuff. “But there’s this other side of me that’s outgoing, energetic and wild.”
