Jennifer Hudson joins the Academy
After winning an Oscar for her role as Effie White in “Dreamgirls,” former “American Idol” finalist Jennifer Hudson will be helping to decide who gets the awards next year.
Hudson has been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the group of actors and industry professionals that votes for the winners. Others among the group of recent invitees are Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Daniel Craig. Not a bad list to be among.
