Elliott Yamin sophomore CD expected in May
Elliott Yamin is back.
The Season 5 American Idol finalist has been busy in the studio, and is ready to release his sophomore effort, according to reports from Brian Mansfield’s USA Today blog.
Elliott says he recorded about 35 songs in anticipation of the new release. “Obviously, not all of them are going to make the record,” he told Mansfield.
Even though he had planned to release the disc in March, Elliott said things were delayed given the death of his mother last year. But you can expect, when the CD does hit, that it will be a good one.
“I’ve been trying to write as much as possible, building my own catalog of songs that I’ve co-written,” Elliott said in the USA Today interview. “At the same time, I’m trying to find the right fits for this record. Every song on the record’s got to be strong. I’ve had the time.
