David Cook wins ‘American Idol’

David Cook is having the time of his life. And now, he’ll be singing Time of My Life, the winning song from the songwriting competition for Season 7 of American Idol.

In a season where David Archuleta seemed to be the clear winner — even during last night’s performances — David Cook pulled away from the other finalists with consistent performances week after week. He grew with each week, and he made every single performance seem like it could be played on the radio — or at a David Cook concert, at the very least.

It’s pretty cool to see a guy win who, genuinely, is a little surprised. And visibly excited. I have to say I’m looking forward to seeing what things are to come from the newest winner of Idol.

    and now all these radio stations are considering him for on-air plays and his songs are on their website!!! i mean it sucks that he didn’t get far on the show but this is a great opportunity for him. so if you have a similar situation, seriously check out that site… you’ll probably have better luck lol (maybe even more then this guy
