CMT Music Awards: Carrie’s a winner

Carrie Underwood presents the award — a giant belt buckle — to Taylor Swift in the Breakthrough Video of the Year category.
Season 4 “Idol” winner and multi-platinum country star Carrie Underwood won all three awards in which she was a nominee for her “Before He Cheats” video at the 2007 CMT Music Awards in Nashville.
Carrie performed the single, the fourth No. 1 off her debut CD, after accepting awards for Female Video of the Year and alongside director Roman White, who accepted the award in the Video Director of the Year category.
The video also took home the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, at the fan-voted ceremony.
“Everybody around me has just been so amazing,” Carrie said, noting she started her career on a fan-based show and continues to rely on her fans for support.
