‘American Idol’ down to 4
Neil Diamond didn’t sit well with American Idol’s Top 5 contestants. In fact, it seemed like one of the more difficult weeks this season.
But America sided with the three guys left — David Archuleta, David Cook and Jason Castro were safe. Syesha Mercado and Brooke White found themselves, once again, in the bottom two. It’s been a tough season for these ladies, who both have had their fair share of struggles.
At the end of the night, it was Brooke who fell short this week. And that’s certainly how it should have been. Still, I’m not sure how Jason Castro continues to remain clear of the bottom of the pack. I’m certain his end is near — I guess it has to be since there only are four contestants left.
While Brooke started off rather strong this season, her confidence seemed to get in the way of many of her performances. Things really started going downhill for her a few weeks ago, right around the time she missed her sister’s wedding. It seems her emotions may have gotten in the way of her ability to keep moving forward.
Still, Brooke was one of the most likable contestants this season, and she likely will land on her feet after the show. Her sweet, innocent style — and the shoeless piano-playing charm — may be enough to get her a recording deal, anyway. Only time will tell.

I think that this is the worst show, of the American Idol seasons. One of the best performers Carly, was sent away too early, David Cook needs to be made to clean up his hair, face, and overall dress. What has this show come too! As for the judges, The word Dog, needs to be omitted from Randy’s vocabulary, Paula needs to act her age, and as for Simon, planes leave everyday, back to England. American Idol cannot survive another season, like this.
