‘American Idol’ down to 2

Syesha Mercado performs Fever on Tuesday night’s episode.

Well, it’s no surprise. Next week will bring on the much-anticipated — and also expected — battle of the Davids.

This week marked the end of the line for Syesha Mercado, who complete Season 7 of American Idol in the third position. (No worries, Syesha fans. This is the time when Chris Daughtry’s road ended on the show, too.)

While it may not have been a huge surprise to see Syesha leave tonight, I think it was pretty surprising how nervous David Archuleta looked when it was announced he would be in the finals. He was visibly shaking, which maybe shows his vulnerability … and a little bit of genuine behavior. Before that, I wasn’t sure how sincere he was acting this season.

So long, Syesha. I’ll be waiting for your CD to drop. Now, I just have to decide which David will win.

I think Cook should win, but the hubs thinks Archuleta is the better choice for a pop star. I suppose he’s right, but I still think the point is for the best man to win. And, clearly, the best man is David Cook.

  2. Kim Says:

Daughtry was fourth. Elliot Yamin was third. Remember?
