A little more Oscar lovin’ (and hatin’)

When Jennifer Hudson rolled up on the red carpet at last night’s 79th Academy Awards, the soon-to-be-winner was wearing a brown ruched gown with a metallic python bolero by Oscar de la Renta.

It certainly wasn’t her best choice, at least as far as many critics are concerned. But it wasn’t her only outfit. She wore different gowns for after-parties and a performance with her “Dreamgirls” cast members.

No matter what, it was the red-carpet arrival gown that likely will get the songstress put on some less-than-best-dressed lists. It’s amazing how much fashion and styling matters, but it’s no different on “Idol.”
